Greeting to Folks Going to South Africa Print

Hello,

 My name is Sherry Su.  Just want to say hello to those who will be going to South Africa this summer.  Hi, Tawny, I saw your post.  I'm from San Diego, and The Rock is my home church as well, so big hug to you.  Tabitha, since you were from San Diego and now in SF (I'm orginally from the bay area), big hug to you, too.  How's everyone doing in terms of preparing for the trip?  I got most of my shots already and will go to the clinic next week to get my flu and polio shots.  Anyway, I will continue to pray for the team and the trip.  See you all in a month~

This too is my first missions trip. I am SO looking forward to what God is going to do. Hi Tawny, I'm originally from SD but now live in San Francisco. I hope others on the South Africa trip BLOG so that we can get to know at least names and origins of the team members.

Hi! I've recieved emails saying to check out and check in on this "blog". My name is Tawny and I'm from San Diego, California and I attend the Rock Church with Pastor Miles McPherson. I will be going on my first mission ever this year, and it will be to South Africa Capetown area. I am all amock with emotions, and excited to start to get to know people hopefully before I go!

Hi Guys,

Debbie here! We are sooo excited to be going back to Cape Town this year.  It was so incredibly wonderful last summer.  I have never seen such a diverse, beautiful country in the world.  It was like being in Africa (of course), in Europe, in a port city, and being at the very tip of the continent of Africa where the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean meet.  Wow!!! 

The people of the townships are amazing! They have so much need but they persevere.  They have been subjected to so much poverty, disease, and racial discrimination but they move forward.    

South Africa has such a special place in my heart.  I pray that through this trip it finds a similar place in yours! Blog away guys! Talk to you soon!
