Shine the light of Christmas in Mexico’s Sierra Madre Mountains

• Use crafts, sports, snacks, music, and the arts to minister to the orphans and underprivileged children who live in the mountains of the Sierra Madre.
• Construct a bookstore to rebuild lives through education and commerce.

Hidden deep in the Sierra Madre Mountains, 150 miles south of Monterrey, lies the farming community of Galeana, and its 386 surrounding villages. Here are over 200,000 people who need to experience the love of Christ in a practical way.

What better way to tell the story of our Savior’s birth than by delivering a weeklong VBS ministry to the children of the mountains? Children will be bused in from villages to participate in a hands-on retelling of Jesus’ birth and God’s love for them.

In addition, our construction team will work alongside a local ministry to build a bookstore to bring education, literacy, and crucial spiritual learning to the local villagers.

To make the most of our holiday week, we will visit different local churches each evening to share appreciation, love, and an evening meal.

Our week of ministry will end on the final day with an evangelistic outreach in the local plaza.

Closing out our adventure, we’ll visit Cola de Caballo (Horsetail Falls) to take in beautiful scenery, do some shopping, and lunch on local cuisine,  then we’ll finish the day in Monterrey with a final night in a cozy hotel.
